They had been married for 27 years.
Born in Providence, a son of Ernest Thomas of North Providence and the late Carol (Hall) Thomas. He had lived in Johnston for 24 years.
Michael was an US Army veteran. He was a Tech Ops Storekeeper for United Airlines at Logan Airport in Boston, MA.
He loved traveling with his family, cooking and trying new foods. He was an avid movie collector. He took pride in being there for family and friends.
He was the proud father of Brieana M. Thomas and her companion Colby D. Andrews of Stubridge, MA and stepfather of Erica L. Pacific of Cranston. He was the grandfather of Serenity and Nadia Walker. He was the brother of Daniel Thomas of Warwick and Antwoinette "Toni" Thomas of Gum Spring, VA. He was the son-in-law of Frances A. (Esposito) DeSimone. He also leaves his dog Triton.
His funeral will be held Wednesday September 11th at 1pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 10th from 4-7pm and Wednesday September 11th 11:30am to 12:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Robert Bellarmine Food Pantry, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.

My memories of Michael T will always be etched by his smile and comedic ways. He was always smiling and making us laugh and respected every female in the family with his words and his actions. Hurt me to see his photo in this. My Love and condolences go out to our extended family

Most vivid memory of Micheal T was at 80F admiral St . I was at Sylvia Hills house I had only joined the family five years prior . Micheal was bringing Gina by to meet us all an just seeing the smile on his face an the brightness in his eyes as he lead her in the house . She was stunning absolutely beautiful an he said I'm gonna marry her I knew he wasn't lying for I had never seen him gaze with such glory. My deepest condolences to the family I will never forget that day an I'm glad I got to see an then watch there life blossom an that day will be infinitely encapsulated in time much love too you all .

I remember meeting Michael T when we were about 9, he was a great friend through the years. I never imagined ever seeing his name with these words. So heartbreaking. I'm so sorry to his family for such a tough loss. Prayers to all.

I worked with Mike at United for many years.
Mike and I would punch out every night at the same time and just chat as we walked to the bus stop.
It was an absolute pleasure knowing and working with him and he is missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing . My deepest condolences to his family.I worked with Mike at United Airlines Boston until I retired in 2020. He was a true gentleman. always a pleasure to be around and work with. We kept in touch through text. I will miss those kind words and well wishes. May his soul RIP.
