Michael Twiford Obituary
Mike was the son of the late Floyd B. Twiford and Cora Mae Culpepper Twiford, and the brother of the late Mark R. Twiford.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teri O. Twiford. Children: Michael S. Twiford, Jr. and his wife Lesley, C. Scott Twiford and his wife Angela, Stacey L. Hasty and her husband Brad. He was "PeePaw" to seven cherished grandchildren who brought him great joy: Kaitlyn Hasty, Trey Twiford, Jacquelyn Hasty, Raegan Twiford, Ryleigh Hasty, Ethan Twiford, Brayden Twiford and his beloved dogs, Chico and Coco.
Professionally, Mike was known for his passion, reliability, and dedication. He was the proud owner of Mike's Trainland from 1979 to 1998, a place where his love of model trains flourished and he built lifelong relationships. From 1998 until 2025, he served as the Vice President of Purchasing at Bennett's Creek Wholesale Nursery. He was valued for his integrity, expertise, and unwavering work ethic.
The family will receive friends at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, North Suffolk Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM, followed by a service in the chapel at 7:00 PM. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
