Michael Walker Obituary
Michael worked for 40 years at Standard Register, where he built lifelong friendships and was known for his strong work ethic and easygoing nature. He was proud to be part of the Hellam VFW, American Legion Post 799, and the Hawks Gunning Club - communities that meant a great deal to him.
For 20 years, Michael could be found on the softball field at Bob Hoffman Sports Complex, doing what he loved most - playing the game, laughing with teammates, and sharing stories after every match. Even after he hung up his cleats, his love for sports and camaraderie never faded.
Michael was a devoted father to his two daughters, Jennifer Walker and her fiancé Ian of York, and Dana Dietz and her husband Jason of York. He was also a loving "Pap" to his cherished granddaughter, Adalynn. He was also a caring brother to his sister Vicki Walker and brother Tim Walker of York. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Walker and Jean (Billet) Walker. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity, and the way he could make anyone feel welcome. To those who knew him, Michael was more than a friend - he was family.
His spirit, laughter, and love will forever stay in our hearts.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
