MICHAEL PATRICK WALLACE

Michael Patrick Wallace, 61, of New York City, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2025, at his residence.

Born on February 29, 1964, he was the son of Michael V, (Miriam Frischer) Wallace and Kathleen M. Flaherty. Michael cherished life in New York City, especially the freedom and adventure of exploring the city by bike. He was an excellent cook who found great joy in preparing meals for others. His love of music was a constant throughout his life, and he delighted in sharing that passion with friends and family.

Michael never shied away from a spirited debate about sports, movies, or politics, and was a devoted football fan, proudly supporting the Philadelphia Eagles. Above all, his family and friends meant the world to him. This past summer, he treasured the time spent vacationing with family in Rehoboth Beach, reconnecting with loved ones and enjoying meaningful moments with Goodrow, Shep, and Scarlet.

Michael was loved by everyone he met, forming connections across all walks of life-family, friends, colleagues, and countless acquaintances who were touched by his warmth and personality.

In addition to his parents Michael is survived by his daughter, Amanda Livingston Wallace, and her mother, Denise Wallace; and his siblings: Antoinette (John) Vinciquerra and Joseph Wallace. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews: Cait (Danny), Taylor (Garrett), Conor (Jamie), Payton, Jack (Kylie), and Brennen. We would be remiss if we did not include his cat Matilda.

Michael was predeceased by his son Patrick Joseph Wallace whose memory he tried to honor, and his stepfather, Michael McDonough.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Stuyvesant Town Security Department, the police officers and Detective Clemente of the NYPD 13th precinct, M.E. Investigator Lombardi along with the staff of the NYC medical examiners office, who were professional and extended much care and compassion during this unexpected loss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, January 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. For further information or to express a message of condolence, please visit www.dufresneandcavanaugh.com.
