Michael Warner, 49, of Oskaloosa, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his home in Oskaloosa.
Michael Guy Warner, son of Guy Manard and Peggy Margaret (Pascal) Warner, was born on August 24, 1975, in Ottumwa, Iowa. In his younger years, Mike attended school in Ottumwa before transferring to Eddyville. While in school, Mike was a member of the wrestling and track teams at Eddyville High School. He enjoyed playing his guitar and rocking out to some heavy metal music. Mike graduated from Eddyville High School with the class of 1994.
After completing his education, he began working for Mediacom as a cable installer in Ottumwa. While living in Ottumwa, Mike was blessed with the birth of his two sons, Connar and Gunnar. In 2000, Mike moved to Oskaloosa, where he continued his career with Mediacom, traveling all over the state for work.
Michael truly enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, playing his guitar, and attending concerts. He also had started a Sunday morning ritual of enjoying a cup of coffee with his good friends Matt and Bobbi Jo. He was a huge fan of the gaming community and especially enjoyed Star Wars. Some of his favorite recent activities were attending Kansas City Chiefs games with his sons, but most of all, spending time with his grandson, Jreyton, and watching him wrestle and play baseball.
Mike's family includes his two sons, Connar Warner of Seymour, IA, and Gunnar Warner of Oskaloosa; his grandson, Jreyton Smith of Oskaloosa; his mother, Peggy Warner of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Ann Warner of Des Moines, Iowa and a nephew Ryan Warner of Des Moines, Iowa.
Mike was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Matthew Warner.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
