Michael Aaron Watson

Michael Aaron Watson, 26, passed away January 7, 2026. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. Michael was born May 25, 1999, in Liberty, Missouri to Edwin Watson and Maggie Carder.
Michael was a hardworking young man that brought joy and laughter to those he knew and loved. He wore his heart on his sleeve and loved deeply. Michael's smile was infectious, and not only would it light up a room, but it would draw you in and warm your heart. Michael's love for his family was unconditional. He loved his mother, brothers, and grandpa with all his heart. The love for his father was next level. It was clear, his desire to make his father proud by the way he referred to him as, "My Pops" that he looked up to his father.
Michael was active in school activities and Boy Scouts when he was younger. He enjoyed just about everything outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and music. Michael was always helping others, he was the type of person who always gave of himself. Michael's proudest moment was becoming a father.
Michael was preceded in death by grandfather Terrie Watson, grandmother Connie Schley and cousins; Alexis, Kelsey and Devin.
He is survived by his daughter Rynlee, father Edwin, mother Maggie, brothers Tyler and Levi, grandfather Robert Schley and grandmother Julie Johnson.
