Michael Wead Obituary
Born on April 13, 1965, in Houston, TX, Mike was the son of the late Travis and Gloria (Goodwin) Wead. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Wead, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Gloria June Drone.
Mike was a dedicated business owner, operating CBK Construction in Ridgway. He was also an active member of his community, coaching girls' Khoury League softball, serving on the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department, and contributing as a Ridgway Board Member. Above all, Mike cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
On July 31, 1987, Mike married Beth Drone, who survives him in Ridgway. He is also survived by his daughters, Courtney, Brittney, and Kailyn (Skyler) Williams; nine grandchildren, Rei'Lee, Brennon, Carter, Journee, Addison, Zander, Kendrix, Jaydn, and Jrue; two brothers, Clay Wead and Melvin Wead; two sisters, Melissa Boyd and Rebecca Wells; as well as his sister-in-laws, Karen (Chris) Heberer and Becky Oldham; brother-in-law Larry (Tammy) Drone, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the American Legion in Ridgway, IL, from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
