Michael Jay Weeks Michael Jay Weeks of Milton, NH, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at his home in Milton after a long illness. Born May 8, 1950, in Rochester, NH, he was the son of Merritt Weeks, Jr. and the late Alberta (Mattocks) Weeks. He was an avid gardener and cook, with a particular interest in roses, wine, and tea. Prior to his illness he had worked for many years at The Homemakers of Strafford County and, before that, Elliott Rose Co. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and gregarious personality, as well as his love of food. He had a special fondness for his cats and dogs. Members of his family include his wife of 23 years, Leslie (Dwyer) Weeks of Milton; his father Merritt Weeks, Jr. and step-mother Elaine (Herries) Weeks, of Rochester; his sister Kate Ross and her husband Patrick Hurley; a brother James Weeks and his wife Virginia; a niece Jennifer Weeks; his sister-in-law Sharon Nickerson and her husband, Glenn, all of Rochester; several cousins and aunts. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 198 Ten Rod Road in Rochester on Saturday, July 24, at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 642 Central Ave, Dover, NH and The Homemakers of Strafford County, 197 Rochester Hill Road, Rochester, NH.
