Michael Whitesides Obituary
Mike Whitesides, age 75, was born April 15, 1949 in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Mary Evelyn and Ralph A Whitesides. He died at home October 29, 2024, after a battle with cancer.
Mike graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1967. He completed his BBA in Finance from NM State University in 1973. In time, he returned home and started a machine shop with his dad who was a master machinist. Mike learned the trade to perfection. He jokingly called himself the "Drive Shaft King."
He is survived by: his wife of 32 years, Martha; siblings: Ralph W. Whitesides (Sandy), Betty Pettigrew, Mary Whitesides, and Celeste Whitesides. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Evelyn, and a niece, Laurel Folks Greenwood.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 2 at the Tucumcari Memorial Park.

Condolences to Mike's family. He was an amazing friend. My husband used to say there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Such a gentle kind man. God give you comfort and peace in this difficult time. Prayers
