Upon my death, this is what I want to say, I Michael W. Whitla passed away May 6, 2025, in my sleep at home with my wife Noreen. In my final days I was able to be cared for by many loving friends, nurses, doctors for 4 weeks from their children in Lake Winnipesaukee a place I vacationed for 25 years. I even got a helicopter ride! I am predeceased by my adopted parents Thelma Johnson Whitla. and Wilford Whitla. I was also predeceased by my in-laws as well, including the late George R. Ryan (BPD), the late Anne G. Ryan (SCJ)and the late Anna G. Ryan. Throughout my life I was an avid athlete, fisherman, and served in the U.S Navy, proudly serving my country that I loved. I graduated from technical school, enjoyed bowling and pool as well and spending time with my God Children. I grew up in Arlington and Allston Mass. I loved the West End House and was an employee of Brookline Water Department for over 30 years. I am also survived by 2 nephews and 2 other elderly siblings. My most second cherished family were the Late Ruth M. Douglas and her late daughter Gail, and Elaine Douglas he considered a sister and her family, my Godson Matthew and Erica along with her husband, Adam and son Noah. And Lynn Noonan. I was married this year to Noreen for 40 years who I loved from the first time I saw her. I deeply will miss her love and companionship, and I am especially grateful for the complete support of Judge Robert C. Rufo and his wife Annette, Judge Cathleen E. Campbell and her husband Kevin and sister Carolyn for their constant presence in our lives throughout my illness. I was always happy even with the loss of both my legs. I had lots of Hobbies, puzzles and my love of food was most important finally I can rest in peace from Keenan and Ryan Roads. Kevin Honan will be doing my eulogy.
