Michael Charles Wier

Michael Charles Wier, a cherished resident of Stonecrest, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on Tuesday, December 21st, 1948, in the Bronx, New York. Michael served his community with dedication and honor as a respected police officer for the Dekalb County Police Department in Dekalb, Georgia. His commitment to protect and serve was evident throughout his long-standing career.

Michael was also a proud military veteran who served in the United States Army, a testament to his life of service, both to his country and his community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Dora Tabb-Wier, whose memory he cherished deeply. Together, they shared a life rich with love and mutual support, which left a profound impact on all who knew them.

A memorial service to honor Michael will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a beacon of integrity, duty, and compassion.
