Michael had a commendable, working career as he worked at the Exxon Refinery as a fireman for 18 years. His commitment to safety extended beyond his time as a fireman, as he spent an additional 20 years in safety systems and safety inspections, ensuring the well-being of his colleagues and the community with the companies he serviced.

As a proud U.S. veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Michael served during the Vietnam War, embodying the values of courage and dedication having served his nation with honor. His military service was a testament to his character and his love for his country as he worked as an aviation electrician for many years. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of integrity and resilience, qualities that influenced those around him. He was known for his very loving heart, always cherishing his family dearly and welcoming other families as his own. He found joy in the simpler things in life, such as spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and he had a special affinity for cooking.
