Funeral Services for Brenda “Gale” Manuel will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bible Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, LA. Brother Don Disotell will officiate the services. Burial will be held in the Methodist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs, LA.

Visitation will begin on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Bible Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, LA.

Gale passed away peacefully at her residence in Krotz Springs, Louisiana, on January 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on August 16, 1943, in Krotz Springs, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family and community.

Gale is survived by her husband of 63 years, Granville Manuel; her three sons, Donald Manuel and his wife, Sondra; Mark Manuel and his wife, Terry; and Randall Manuel and his wife, Hope; all residing in Krotz Springs; and her daughters, Beth Fuselier and her husband, Herman, of Opelousas; and Christy Williams and her husband, Jon of Krotz Springs. Gale took immense pride in her family; she was a nurturing grandmother to 13 grandchildren; a great-grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

A woman of many talents, Gale was a wonderful seamstress, known for her skill in making quilts and sewing with elegance and precision. Gardening was another of her passions, as she found joy in tending to her plants. Most notably, Gale loved cooking for her family, sharing not only meals but also instilling warmth and unity around the dinner table.

Her commitment to her church was unwavering, reflecting a deep dedication to her faith and community.

Gale is preceded in death by her parents, David Bennett and Ida Guidry Bennett, as well as her sisters, Aline Theresa Bennett, Bertha Lanclos, and Grace Bryson, and her sister-in-law, Lou Bennett and her grandson, Jerrod Wingate.

Gale leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and commitment that will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory will be treasured deeply, as she inspired all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

The pallbearers will be Donald Manuel, Mark Manuel, Randall Manuel, Titus Manuel, Herman Fuselier and Jon Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Sidney Bennett.
