Michael Joseph Wright

Michael Joseph Wright, 65, of San Diego, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 24, 2024, at the Country Hills Convalescent Home.

Born on June 8, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to the San Diego area with his parents and siblings in 1968. Michael attended Patrick Henry High School.

Mike was known for his sense of humor; he laughed often and loved to tease. He possessed a deep love of God and followed the Christian faith. Mike loved music and could sing the lyrics of most 70’s songs with enthusiasm.

Michael was the son of the late Charles Kenneth Wright and Virginia (Jendral) Wright. He is survived by his five siblings: Lynne Kahl and her husband Daryl of San Diego, Kenneth Wright and his wife Helen of Alpine, CA; Liz Wright and her wife Colleen, of San Diego; David Wright and his wife Lana, of El Cajon, CA; and Christopher Wright and his wife Amy of Boise, ID. Michael is survived by his niece Christie (Wright) Crocker and her husband Ward; nephew Kenny Wright and his wife Kelly; nephew Matthew Wright; niece Ashlee (Wright) Donchak and her husband Ryan; and many great nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life service at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice in Michael’s name. Michael will be interned at the Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Av, San Diego, CA 92113.
