Michael Zerbato Obituary

Michael V. Zerbato, known to many as Junie, passed away on April 19th, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center at the age of 83. He was born on July 21st, 1939, in Lee, MA, and was the son of the late Michael and Marguerite (Feltre) Zerbato. He was a graduate of Lee High School in 1958. He retired from Schweitzer Mauduit where he worked for many years. He attended St Mary's Mother of the Church in Lee, MA, where he worshipped.

Junie was a kind and generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed spending time in his garden during the summer and was an avid hunter. He loved sharing his passion for hunting with his grandchildren. Junie's favorite pastime was going to Dunkin' Donuts for his morning coffee and sitting on his porch in the sunshine.

He is survived by his sister, Terry (Zerbato) Buffoni, and his children, Jennifer and David (Pegi) Zerbato and his daughter-in-law Fran (Griffith) Zerbato. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Zerbato, Chris (Victoria) and Tyler Dadak, Logan Zerbato, and Wayne and Blake (Olivia) Gray. He is also survived by his loving companion MaryLou Tyer, whom he spent many loving years with. Junie was predeceased by his sisters, Victoria Marsden and Juliette Zerbato, his wife Carleen Zerbato, and son Jeffrey Zerbato.

At the request of Junie, there will be no services. The family will have their own private gathering to honor Junie's life. Donations in June's honor can be made to St Mary's Church of 40 Academy St, Lee, MA.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Terry and the Zerbato families, So sorry for the loss of your brother and father. Growing up Junie was always one of the older boys in the neighborhood whom I admired for his athletic talents. I was crushed when he injured his shoulder and spent many months in a cast and no football. May he rest in peace!
