Michaela Anne Miller, a vibrant soul who brightened the lives of everyone she met, passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 35. Born on May 27, 1989, in Anderson, Indiana, Michaela was the beloved daughter of David "D.R." Miller and Robyn (Jervis) Miller, who adopted her on October 10, 2000. This moment marked a special chapter in her life, one that she cherished deeply alongside her sister.
Michaela graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 2008, proudly sporting her track and field accomplishments, especially in pole vaulting. She went on to study at Olivet Nazarene University and later found her stride in the workforce with various roles at Progressive Logistics.
Her love for family and friends was unmatched; she had a big heart and always found joy in giving-her love language was gifting, and she delighted in making people smile with thoughtful surprises. Michaela also had an incredible sense of humor and had a knack for lifting spirits and spreading laughter. An avid Ohio State fan, Michaela loved staying active; whether she was swimming, cooking, or soaking up the sun at the beach, her sporty nature shone through.
She leaves behind her parents, D.R. Miller and Robyn (Jervis) Miller; Daughter, Amiya Grace Franklin; Son, Greyson Eli; Sister, Ashley (fiance, Braden Hawhee) Miller; Grandparents, Jim C. Miller and Frances Jervis; Aunt, Rhonda (husband, Scott) Francis; and Cousins, Jacob Francis and Alex Francis; Biological father, Mike (wife, Julie) Peters; Several biological half siblings, Baylee Niccum, Dustin Peters, Kristopher Kendall, Step-brother, Jordan (spouse, Dene') Morgan, and Step-sister, Candice Jones.
Michaela is preceded in death by her Grandmother, Amy Miller; Grandfather, Richard Jervis; Aunt, Karese Miller; and Uncles, Jeff and Chip Miller; Biological grandparents, Norval and Ruth Peters.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
A celebration of life funeral service will follow visitation starting at 6:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Cable officiating.
