Obituary of Michele Lynn Christiansen
Michele Lynn Christiansen, 59, of North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on FRI, March 17, 2023 after giving CANCER the fight of its life. Eric Thomson, her loving husband of 12 years, was by her side holding her hand and loving her every last moment she had to give.
Michele Lynn was born April 21, 1963 to Gerald E. Christiansen and Ireda J. Christiansen in Reno, Nevada. After Michele graduated from East Central High School in 1981, she joined the Air Force and served our country for 6 years. The Air Force is where she found her lifelong passion to be an airplane mechanic and made a career out of making air transportation a better and safer place for everyone to travel.
Michele had three children that she dearly loved - Kala, Leah, and Ryan. In DEC of 2000, Michele met her loving husband, Eric, at Raytheon in Waco, TX and were together until her final days of life. Eric and Michele married in FEB of 2011, as she finally found forever happiness with her true love and life partner.
In her life, Michele helped and loved so many beautiful people that grew to become her family, close friends, and her best friends. She was predeceased by her mother - Ireda, her Step Mother - Dotty Ann Christiansen, and her sister, Jennifer June. She is survived by her father - Gerald Eugene Christiansen, her sister - Laura Jeanne Jones, her brother - Clint Eugene Christiansen, her 3 children - Kala, Leah, and Ryan, her 3 grandchildren – Mason, Wyatt, and Alexander Rocket.
Michele was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, daughter-in-law, and step-mother, and she will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on FRI, March 24 at Simplicity Funeral Home from 11:00am – 1:00pm located at 7475 Peppermill Parkway Suite E., North Charleston, SC 29418. A Celebration of Life is to follow from 2:00 – 5:00pm at Domino Lounge located at 6877 Dorchester Rd.
