Michele Hawkins Obituary

Michele Gay (Sharnbroich) Hawkins, born January 5th, 1964 in Port Angeles, WA, passed away at home on April 9th, 2024. She leaves behind cherished memories of a life well-lived. Michele shared 17 joyous years with her husband, John, exploring the beauty of Mexico, traveling with the RV and hosting countless gatherings at their Seabeck home. A gifted cook, her food was enjoyed by so many. Michele's dedication to her home, yard & garden was easily apparent. One of her many joys was her dog Rocky, and a flock of chickens. Michele had no small life; she had an incredible community of friends because of her wonderful, giving spirit. Others gravitated easily towards her, especially children & animals. Her children, Marisa Moore (Josiah) and Marcus Joaquin, were her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her two children as well as her husband, John Hawkins, and his children Tauz Hawkins (Taya) and Kyli Hawkins, her mother Rebecca Sharnbroich, and her brother, Richard Sharnbroich. Michele's unwavering faith and strength inspired those around her, even in the face of battling Frontotemporal Dementia for several years before her passing. Though she is no longer with us, Michele's love and spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched. She will be missed every day and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held this summer.

I was just thinking about you yesterday. We had so many great conversations, even as early as high school. You were such a great listener and so understanding. My dad just loved you, and I´m so happy that you made it to his memorial 10 years ago. You were incredibly patient with me, even when you thought my ideas were crazy. Hey, we will always have the Billy Joel concert in Tacoma, right? Your kids and family were so lucky to have you, and so were your friends, and so were the folks who knew you long ago, like me. Godspeed.
