She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Jennica and Eric McCoy (Elizabeth, Emma, William, and Peter), Gregory Kolean and her brother Jeffrey Kolean.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Margie Kolean, and her brother John Kolean.
Michele was the first female deputy for the Ottawa County Sheriff Department where she worked for 14 years. Michele worked for Dutch Village for many years and announced swim meets at West Ottawa for 60 years.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The memorial service to honor Michele will be 11 am Saturday, November 2, 2024, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to West Ottawa Swimming or the Fraternal Order of Police of Michigan. www.yntemafh.com
