Michele Mannering Obituary

Michele (Santa Maria) Mannering

Michele (Santa Maria) Mannering, age 54, of Ventnor City went home to Jesus on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born August 7, 1970, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she was a long term resident of the Ventnor City and Atlantic City area and attended Ventnor Middle School and Atlantic City High School and worked in room service at Caesars Atlantic City for over 15 years. Michele's Catholic faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ remained constant even during her most trying times. She handled her battle with muscular dystrophy alone, not wanting to burden her loved ones. Michele was a pillar of quiet strength.

Survivors include her daughter, Kaitlyn Mannering; step daughter, Erin (Mannering) Koske; sisters, Toni (Santa Maria) Ennett and Helen (Santa Maria) Brunetti; brother, George Santa Maria; aunt Gail (Santa Maria) Layton and uncle Bob Layton; a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews; devoted friend, Frank Fels, whose loyalty spanned countless years. Michele was preceded in death by her parents, George (Bubby) and Betty Lou Santa Maria; her brother, Michael Santa Maria; her sister, Beth (Santa Maria) Rupley, and her niece, Kelly Ennett.

Memorial contributions may be given to the (MDA) Muscular Dystrophy Association online @mda.org or mail to: Muscular Dystrophy Association, Inc., 1016 W Jackson Blvd #1073, Chicago, IL 60607, (800) 572-1717. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com
