Michele Chrystal Moses, known to most as Mickey, passed away surrounded by love. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by care, creativity, humor, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was also a good friend—loyal, kind, and always willing to listen. Mickey had a way of always showing up—steadfast, nurturing, and dependable—leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She had a deep love for crafting and creativity and was always planning her next project. She found joy in working with her hands, and that same creativity carried into her cooking and baking, where she shared love through food. Her traditional Christmas spaghetti became a treasured family favorite and a lasting tradition. She also loved making lasagna, homemade cakes in all their forms, and coffee-flavored chocolate cupcakes. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, and her meals brought people together.

Mickey treasured time spent with family, whether it was trips to Eagle Valley, picking pears, apples, and plums, playing cards and dominoes, or sitting around the table talking and laughing. She loved playing bingo and enjoyed relaxing with a couple of margaritas, always with a smile and a sense of fun. She also found joy in simple pleasures, like McDonald’s ice cream cones— “only one Weight Watchers point,” she’d say with a grin.

She had a deeply motherly presence—offering comfort when someone didn’t feel well, welcoming grandchildren onto her lap during card games, and providing reassurance through both words and actions. She created holidays filled with warmth and laughter, and her Christmases were especially treasured. She took great pride in watching her family grow and was grateful to be an active and loving presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” Nitti and Chrystal Brettner; her brothers, Paul Horvath, John “Jack” Kratochvil, John Nitti, and Earl Nitti; her sisters, Cindy Aguilar, Mary Ann Hough, and Joan Peterson; her husbands, Roy Powell Jr. and Ike Moses; and her beloved son, Roy Khile Powell III, “RK.”

She is survived by her children, David Powell, Melanie Moses-Sisco, and Ike (Lilly) Moses; her grandchildren, Kevin Woods, Ariel (Kyle) Schnyder, Aaron Powell, Leola (Emil) Ratdke, Franklyn Gammel, and Caleb Moses; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
