Michele Ella Platton, 75, of Youngstown, passed away on September 28, 2025 at Omni West Assisted Living.
Michele was born on January 24, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to the late Michael and Florence (Bowser) Vukelich. In her early years, she loved to dance and would reflect fondly of her time serving at Bobby McGee's in Texas.
After returning to Youngstown, she worked as a manicurist for various salons for over 30 years.
Michele was a parishioner at St. Charles Church and volunteered at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boardman, administering the Eucharist.
She was a part of the Red Hat Society organization and had a love for all animals, especially dogs. Her great sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone who knew her.
Michele leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Erika (Stephen) Mapus of Boardman, and a grandchild, Fielding.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:00 AM at Girard City Cemetery Chapel, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to PBS Western Reserve or Angels for Animals.
