Michele Kay Stuart, age 58, of Des Allemands Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December
5, 2024.
Michele was born on June 2, 1966, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Patricia K. Roberts and the late
Walter O. Evans.
In February of 1982, she met the love of her life James “Jimmy” Stuart of Cresent, Iowa. They
had their first child Nichole in August of 1983 and wed in December that same year.
They moved to Missouri shortly after where Jenna, their second child was born in 1986.
Over the next several years, Michele and Jimmy moved across the country several times.
Jimmy and Michele finally found their roots in Louisiana where their son Jimmy was born in
1998.
There, her family flourished, and her grand kids were born. Becoming Gran was her greatest
joy.
To know Michele was to love her. Anyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path will never
forget her. Michele had the kindest heart and warmest smile. She was the life of the party, a
shoulder to cry on, a friend, mother, sister, or a good laugh when you needed it most.
Michele touched the lives of so many people in her short time on this earth and she made every
single one of us feel special, appreciated, and accepted. She loved all her babies, whether they
were her own children, grandchildren, or countless others she collected along the way.
Michele lived every moment to its fullest. She had a great appreciation and love for music.
Michele’s motto was Life is a journey, not a destination.
She is preceded in death by her father in-law, James C Stuart, father, Walter O. Evans, stepfather,
Gary Roberts, and her beloved dog, Cane.
Michele is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Stuart. Her three children Nichole
(James), Jenna, and Jimmy (Faith). Michele had four grandchildren who were her entire world.
They are Laila, Jack, Jimmy “Gumbo”, and Ivy. Other survivors also include her mother Patrica
Roberts, brother Todd Roberts, sister Cathi Evans, mother-in-law Eddie Stuart, as well as many
nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Michele’s family will find great comfort in the countless lives she touched and the fierce love she
had for everyone she held close to her, until they can hug her again.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Raceland, on Saturday, December 14th from 9 am until service time.
