Michele Vargo Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 30, 2025.
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Beacon of Faith
Michele Ann Vargo, 63, of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, entered the loving arms of her Savior on September 29, 2025, after a life richly woven with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Born on July 13, 1962, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to the late Albert Leibenguth Jr. and Anna Mae (Reichel) Leibenguth, Michele was a radiant soul whose gentle spirit touched every corner of the world she held dear.
From her earliest days, Michele embodied the warmth of a true homemaker, pouring her heart into nurturing those she loved most. She shared 36 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Kevin Scott Vargo, building a legacy of tenderness and partnership that inspired all who knew them. As a mother, she welcomed her cherished son, Gary Snap, and delighted in the joy of her granddaughter, Hailey, whose laughter was the melody to her days. Michele's love extended like sunlight to her family, creating scrapbooks filled with memories that captured the essence of every shared sunset and whispered prayer.
Predeceased by her beloved sister, Susan Leibenguth, Michele is survived by her adoring husband, Kevin; son, Gary, and granddaughter, Hailey; her brother, Albert Leibenguth, and his wife, Maria, along with their children- sons Albert, Max, and Pierce; and daughters Angelica Romina and Veronica Mayleen; and her younger brother, Chris Leibenguth, and his children, Sierra, Tyler, Julianna, and Conner. In each of them, she saw reflections of the boundless grace she so freely gave.
Professionally, Michele was a gifted hair stylist, transforming not just styles but spirits with her caring touch. Yet, it was as a devoted housewife that she truly shone, tending to her home and family with the same meticulous love she brought to her passions: meticulously crafting scrapbooks that preserved life's sweetest moments, collecting shimmering crystals that reminded her of heaven's light, cherishing lazy days along the shores of Ocean City, Maryland, where the ocean's rhythm echoed her peaceful heart, and above all, deepening her walk with God, whom she served with joyful surrender.
As a Divine Pastor for World Christianship Ministries, Michele lived out her faith not in grand gestures, but in quiet acts of kindness-listening with empathy, praying with fervor, and loving without reserve. She was the heartbeat of her circle, the one who reminded everyone that home wasn't just a place, but a feeling wrapped in forgiveness and faith.
In the words of Jesus in John 11:25-26
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who
believes in me will live, even though they die; and
whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do
you believe this?"
Michele believed with every fiber of her being, and now she lives eternally in that promise, free from earthly cares, her spirit dancing in the light she so adored. Michele's legacy of love endures in every heart she touched- may we all strive to love as fiercely and faithfully as she did. Rest in the peace you so richly deserve, dear Michele. You are forever our sunshine.
