Vernon James Vargo, age 78, loving husband, father, papa and friend, drew his last breath on November 15, 2025. Military honors and celebration of life to be held at VFW Post 5051, 101 Maremont Parkway, Loudon, Tennessee 37774 on November 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Vernon was born June 2, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan to Francis and Mabel (Fry) Vargo. Attending Clarkston High School and a lifetime member of the Combrios. He met and soon thereafter married the love of his life, Patricia on December 18, 1964. Vernon served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division as a combat medic in the Vietnam war. Driven to provide the best life for his family, his entrepreneurial spirit led him throughout his life. Proudly retiring as CEO of Bose Chemical Group, LLC, veteran owned and operated. Vern was known for his integrity, spirituality, optimism, and never wavering love for his family and friends. "Love is a demonstration, not a declaration." He inspired many by living not just in word, but in his actions. Vern was involved in numerous volunteer organizations, including seven years on the Board of Directors for Big Brother Big Sister of Brighton MI, Hospice of Michigan, QPR Institute of Knoxville leading seminars on suicide prevention and served as Trustee at VFW Post 5051. Recently earned 52 years of sobriety with AA. Proceeded in death by his father, Francis Vargo; mother, Mabel Fry Vargo; brothers, Frank, Don, and Kyle Vargo; and beloved son, Brian James Vargo. Survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Tucker) Vargo; devoted daughter, Jennifer Chodyniecki (David); cherished grandchildren, Brendan, Zak, Tyler, Ethan, Brianna, Peter, and Sophie; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Floral donations are welcome and may be delivered to McGill Click Funerals and Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 North, Loudon, Tennessee 37774 Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
