Paul Albert King passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 62.
Paul was born on September 1, 1963, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Larry L. King and Ruth Diane Kenner-Ollar along with one brother, Curtis King. He was raised in Farmer City, IL, until the age of 12, and then moved with his family to Fairview Heights, IL.
He's a graduate of the class of 1981 from Belleville Township High School East, where he loved his Shop Class, which eventually led him to become a General Contractor, and later owning his own business, King Home Improvement. He relocated with his own family to Maryville, TN, in 2001, and had just moved to the country in Loudon, TN, within the past year, where he felt so at peace.
He married his wife, JoAnn Goscinski, on June 21, 1986, in Fairview Heights, IL. They had two children, Ryan King and Cassandra "Cassie" King and one grandchild, Jayson Novitzke-King during their 39 years together.
Paul was a master carpenter and antique car tinkerer. Everyone knew they could count on Paul to fix/ build anything. He absolutely adored his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandson, his mother, his beloved nephews, Brady (Delaney) and Dewey King and their mother, Patti Byron-King; along with his great niece, Loralai Calhoun-King, all of Alcoa/Maryville; his in-laws, Larry E. and Judith Goscinski; brother-in-law, Larry G. (Theresa) Goscinski, and their children Reagyn and Carter, all of Southern Illinois.He is preceded in death by his father and brother.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 North, Loudon, Tennessee 37774.
