He dedicated his free time to the Freemasons, as well as doing acrobatic plane shows with his special friend Butch Ferguson, who built their matching planes together themselves. He loved to spend time in his garden and caring for Myrtle, his donkey.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; Father William Huel Cole and mothers; Mary Ledford Leroy and Mildred Estes Cole, his brothers; William Harold Cole, Howard David Cole, and Joseph "Joe" Cole, his sons Stacy Harper Cole and Arlin Gerald Cole Jr. as well as several nieces and nephews.
