With deep love and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Michelle Yvette Austin, affectionately known as Shelly, who passed away on February 10, 2025. Born in Valhalla, NY, and raised in Greenburgh, NY, Shelly was a radiant soul who touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Michelle was a woman of extraordinary talents and an unstoppable spirit. From an early age, she displayed a natural athleticism-gracefully mastering gymnastics, dominating the roller-skating rink, and embracing the thrill of water sports and swimming. Her determination and passion were evident in everything she did, whether it was gliding effortlessly on skates or offering a comforting hand to those in need.
A true nurturer at heart, Michelle dedicated her life to caring for others, a calling that led her to a career in the healthcare field. Her compassion and selflessness made her not only a devoted caregiver but also a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, mother, aunt, friend, mentor, and source of strength for so many. She had an incredible way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
To her family, she was the foundation of unconditional love and support. She was a force of resilience, both mentally and physically, and her wisdom, humor, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
Michelle's presence was truly a gift-she was a joy to be around, lighting up every room with her laughter and spirit. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that her love, lessons, and legacy will continue to shine through all those she touched.
A celebration of Shelly's life will be held at 2:00pm on March 15, 2025, at 985 Stratford Ave Bridgeport, CT 06607.
Rest in love, Michelle. Your strength, kindness, and joy will remain with us always.
