Michelle Styles Hendrix Cannon, 62, of Leesville, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Newberry, South Carolina. She was born on April 14, 1963, in North Carolina to William Styles and Joanna Parker Styles Watts. Michelle’s strength,selflessness, and positivity throughout her illness were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Michelle took great pride in her career in the grocery industry, where she built many lasting friendships. She found joy in her work and especially loved visiting with customers and coworkers. Michelle was especially proud of her sons and her grandchildren. She also cherished time spent with her great-nieces, Natalie and Jaymee, and great-nephew, Richard. Her gentle spirit extended to her pets,
especially her dogs. Michelle enjoyed days at the lake, good music, beautiful flowers, collecting garden flags, and cheering for the Carolina Gamecocks.
Michelle is survived by her son, Brock Hendrix (Meg); daughter-in-law, Joleen Hendrix; and brothers, Stephen A. Styles and Carey Styles; grandchildren, Blakely, Carter, Finley, and Ruby Jo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cannon; her son, Blake Hendrix; her sister, Cynthia Templeton; and her niece, Jessica Alligood.
In celebration of the life of Michelle a gathering for family and friends will be held at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Bernardo Hospice Care and the staff of White Oak of Newberry for their care and compassion. Memorials may be made to Lexington County Animal Services and Adoptions, 321 Ball Park Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
