Obituary of Michelle Doolittle-Mackinnon
Michelle Doolittle MacKinnon passed away on Oct. 24, 2023 at the age of 46 due to complications from Crohn's Disease.
Michelle grew up In the Woodstock, Ontario Canada area where she would live for almost 45 years until she immigrated to the U.S. in 2022 to be with Tim in Florida. As a kid she was always studying and trying to get the best grades she could. She loved doing gymnastics, going to church and being with her family on summer trips to Miller Lake near Lake Huron with her family. Michelle was a Home Healthcare worker for 20 years until at the age of 41 when she decided to fulfill her life's dream to become a nurse. She was a single mother to twin girls Hope and Faith who were her entire life and her greatest accomplishment. Michelle loved to travel and explore the world. She took Hope and Faith on multiple trips to the Caribbean on The Disney Cruise Line or to an all-inclusive resort. She also took them as much as she could to Niagara Falls.
In 2017 Michelle met Tim in an unexpected way on a Facebook fan page for people who were single and loved Disney. After a few months of messaging back and forth they realized how much they had in common -in all the ways that counted like the value of family and our children with her girls and Tim's son Christopher- and started to fall in love with each other. After numerous trips to see each other Tim proposed on Christmas Day in 2018. They got married in the summer of 2019. The love between Michelle and Tim stayed as strong as ever even when the pandemic delayed her immigration to the U.S. and they were not able to see each other in person and only on FaceTime for a year due to the Covid 19 restrictions.
Michelle was smart, passionate and fun, fiercely loyal, loved her dogs, valued her friends and always took on the role of "Mama Bear" to take care of everyone she knew and loved. She was always drawn to the water and loved going to the beach to see a sunset.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband Tim, her daughters Hope and Faith, her step son Christopher, her sister Danielle and Niece Nickayla, her mother Brenda, her "adopted" daughter Jacklyn, her sister Chantelle and her family and her dog Pebbles.
