Michelle Murphy Feeley was born in Summit, New Jersey on October 11, 1974, to Michael and Ellen Feeley. She was the youngest of four children, with three older siblings: John, Pam and Jamie.
Michelle's early education was at Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, NJ, followed by Summit High School, and then onto Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Michelle later earned an MBA at The Simon School of Business at The University Rochester. Her hard work paid off, allowing her to pursue a career in financial services, initially in the insurance industry and later as a financial advisor in Boston and NY.
When faced with the onset of health challenges, she enrolled in The Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Florida. She devoted two years to this endeavor, making new friends and learning a variety of holistic healing methods. This experience led to perhaps her favorite endeavor of all, organizing and leading spiritual adventures including trips to the volcanos of Hawaii, the rain forests of Brazil, and the mountains of Machu Picchu, Peru.
She then began refining her artistic talents, specifically working with oils on canvas. When pain invaded her body, she focused on creating inspired artwork. A year ago, Michelle moved to the green mountains of Vermont where she continued creating her artwork. The beauty she found in these landscapes inspired by her vibrant paintings, each a reflection of her true spirit and which now are cherished by those she leaves behind.
One of her greatest joys was her rescue dog Winston Victor Feeley, more affectionately known as, "Winnie." They shared the most beautiful bond of unconditional love and explored their joy of nature together.
Michelle is greatly missed by family and friends and will be remembered for her brilliant wit that would light up any room, making her truly unforgettable. She strived to live her best life but sadly we lost her too soon.
Michelle is survived by her mother Ellen Feeley Neches, her siblings: John (and Aimee) Feeley, Pam Crowley, Jamie (and Liz) Feeley, her nephews and nieces Ryan Feeley, Alyson Feeley, Jack Crowley, Olivia Feeley and Lilah Feeley.
The family will hold private ceremonies honoring her wishes to rest for eternity on the shores of Nantucket, MA and locally at The Shrine of St. Josephs in Stirling, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ.
May she rest in peace. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Michelle, please visit our Tree Store.
