Michelle Lee Melito

Michelle L. Melito (Hemmer) age 67 of East Taunton, passed away on September 2, 2025, at Boston Medical Center South in Brockton. She was the wife of the late James William Melito.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Neil Hemmer and Isabelle (Dickson) Mamaty.

She was a woman of faith who will be remembered for being fun, feisty, loving, caring, giving, and outgoing. Some of her interests include watching her favorite daytime soap operas, taking care of her plants, playing board games, and shopping. She also loved the outdoors, especially going fishing.

Michelle is survived by her two sons, James M. Melito and Michael Melito, both of Taunton; a brother, Michael Hemmer; two grandchildren, James JJ. Melito and Sofia Melito; two great grandchildren, Raelynn Melito and Mason Kestler; her brother-in-law Edmund Correia, Jr; sister-in- law Lynn Johansen-Carew; a niece Melanie Cyr; and her nephew Edmund Correia, III. She was the sister of the late Lynne Correia.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Details on the date and time will be announced in the coming weeks.
