Michelle Laenora Sorcic, age 73, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, May 23, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on January 23, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Wilbert Wise and Georgia “Peggy” Stowe Wise, Michelle was a beacon of joy and a true lover of life, often celebrating with family and friends.
She loved going to the farm in Kentucky where cherished memories were made with loved ones. Sundays held a special place in her routine, especially breakfast at R&K2 on Fort Worth Highway - a tradition that brought smiles and connection. Michelle also found great joy in her time at the Senior Citizens Center, often playing bingo with her friends.
Her home, like her heart, was full of sunshine. A lover of marine life, she relished time spent at the beach, collected dolphin images, and advocated to save the sea turtles.
Grounded in her Christian faith, Michelle lived with grace and leaned on scripture for strength and radiated the love of Christ to all who knew her.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Georgia Wise; sister, Choralen Wise LaSalle; and beloved husband, Andrew "Andy" Sorcic.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Peggy Crutsinger and husband, Bobby, and Kathleen Eatinger; five grandchildren, R.J. Crutsinger, Caitlyn Crutsinger, Jay Crutsinger, Chris Crutsinger, and Daniel Eatinger; and two great-grandchildren, Myra Eatinger and Nicklaoi Eatinger. Her memory also lives on through her sister, Karen Branzell and husband, Mark; sister-in-law, Marion Thurman and husband, Roland; and brother-in-law, Jerry LaSalle.
A memorial celebration of Michelle’s joyful spirit will be held during a time of visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. The family requests for guests to come dressed casual and comfortable.
