MICHELLE MARIE STROSAHL
October 16, 1962 ˜ August 5, 2025

After facing breast cancer with strength and resilience for a year and a half, Michelle passed away on August 5, 2025. Michelle was born on October 16, 1962, in Missoula, MT to her parents Jim and Phyllis Strosahl. She graduated from Hellgate High School in 1980, and then from the University of MT in 1993, with a bachelor’s degree in early education. This degree led her to employment at Head Start (EOCF) where she cultivated young minds for 20 years and made lifelong friendships. Throughout her life, Michelle touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. Her presence brought light to those around her, and her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Michelle is survived by her daughter Abrionna Strosahl, son Robert (Haley) Strosahl, and her four grandchildren Adalynne, Zola, Westley and Easton. Her parents, Jim and Phyllis Strosahl, her siblings Brad (Janice) Strosahl, Jeannette (David) Sale and Doug Strosahl. She has many beloved nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles. She was preceded in death by her nieces Danielle Sale and Kristy Cassidy. Please join us for Michelle’s “Last Luau” on September 20, at The Cedars Public House 15001 NE 181st Ave Brush Prairie, WA 98606. Social hour will begin at 4:30, with dinner following at 5:30. For those not in attendance, there will be a live stream available. My heart goes out to Michelle´s family. Michelle was a former colleague of mine at EOCF. I remember her always advocating for children in her care and their families. Her presence with children and their families will indeed have impact on generations to come. I recall when we opened a new early learning site, Michelle was a strong advocate for resources for staff that would enhance learning and play opportunities for children and a gift to the program. She is now shining in glory!

oh, what to say about my dear loving niece Michelle! I know what I want to scream, why and this is not how it was supposed to be. Michelle and I were together every chance we got. More so in our younger years. It didn't matter we always were so happy to see each other. I have the first picture of you and I in the baby buggy. You were 6 months older we laughed about that. We have gone on adventures in Montana, Iowa, and other. We were supposed to get to go to the ocean together in October but now I will have to meet you in heaven. I am so sad, but I know that you are in the best hands you can be. Jesus. Even though we don't understand why he needed you now. I will always remember that big smile and laughter. I will always remember how much you liked to pick on me in good humor. I will cherish the last picture we had together this year. I am so thankful you were able to make it. I know you were also so happy when there were lots of family around. My brother shared that same thing recently. Oh, I could write a book on us but for now I close a chapter, and I will meet you when it's time. So long for now my sweet Michelle~!

Rest high Miss Michelle. An awesome supervisor, mom and a grandma. Thank you for your support and mentor. I remember one Christmas for some reason she couldn´t visit her grandkids she called me to stop by her place. She handed me a bunch of gifts and said please Anjela drop this at the door for my grandkids. I couldn´t resist the love of a grandma. She loved her kids and grandkids. You were amazing.

Michelle told me that her favorite place to go was anywhere she'd never been. Now she's expriencing the best place imaginable. I told her I am looking forward to the day I get there, and I cant wait for her to show me all her favorite spots. Until then, I will miss her and I'll cherish the memories of 40 years of friendship.

You learn a lot about a person when you share an office. Michelle´s kindness, positive attitude and great sense of humor got me through a difficult transition in my life. I´m grateful for the chance to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and close friends. She will be greatly missed.

Michelle from that day we met at EMC, I knew that we were going to be life long friends. Michelle you had a contagious smile and laugh. The strong faith and happiness you carried in your soul, was only few of your amazing qualities. All the children loved you. When we came to visit you at your school house, a child was sitting on your lap as you were reading, we knew this was what you loved most besides being a MoM. You smiled huge as you turned the page. God truly blessed you with compassion, love and patience. We have been praying for your family that with each day, a special memory shines on. There will be days that are full of smiles, sunshines and laughter but there are tears of sorrow that you are gone way to soon. God has a huge role for you till we meet again. Go teach the children and love them all. I will never forget you. Michelle, rest easy my friend, all the pain you endured from the day I met you till you left was nothing we wanted for you, I prayed for healing for you everyday .
You were the strong one with your faith. Knowing you as I did, you persevered and
taught with your last breath. I truly loved everything about you Michelle. You're a true Angel sent by Jesus our Lord.
Most of all Thank you God for having her in my life as a true friend.
