WALTERS, Michelle M. “Chelle,” passed away surrounded by the love of her family on February 26, 2026, at the age of 52. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Linda Ziegler Tallarigo (nee Muhle) and the late M. Gene Ziegler.
Michelle is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Tony Walters. Loving mother of Tyler (Maria Powell) Walters, and Lindsey (Anthony) Persiani. Caring step-mother of Nicole (Eric) Ritter and close family friend of Savannah (Devin) Duncan. Cherished “Chelle Chelle” of Nova, Ruby, Wren, baby Persiani, Rhett, baby Jett, Adrianne, Harper, and baby Duncan. Treasured sister of Christa (Jamie) Franke. Michelle is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Michelle is preceded in passing by her brother Michael Ziegler, her dad, Gene Ziegler, and her step-dad, Gene Tallarigo.
Michelle was truly human sunshine, the kind of light that made every room warmer just by walking into it. She was an amazing cook whose meals brought everyone to the table, lingering long after the plates were cleared. She took the best pictures, somehow never missing a single person at any event, because she never wanted anyone to feel unseen or left out. She had everything anyone could ever want out of life, yet she still gave all that she had, her time, her energy, her love–freely and without hesitation. To know her was to love her, and more importantly, to be deeply, unconditionally loved by her.
Visitation will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2026 at BJ Meyer Sons Funeral Home, 5864 Bridgetown Road from 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm.
