Mickey Eugene Rogers

Mickey Eugene Rogers, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 22, 1961, in Dalton, Mickey was the son of the late Tommie Rogers and Tressie Meadows Rogers. He worked for many years as a carpenter with Baynes Construction, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and the easygoing spirit he brought to every job.

Mickey was loved by everyone who met him. He never met a stranger, and he could fill a room with laughter through his stories, stories about everything and anything, told with that unmistakable charm that made people feel instantly at ease. His humor, kindness, and big-hearted nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Patterson and Jessica Grant; sisters, Margie Garland, Catherine (David) Baynes, Joyce Douglas, and Christine Poff; brother, Jimmy Rogers; grandchildren, Noah Patterson, Jace Davis, Taylor Grant, and Hannah Gallman; many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends also survive and will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Rogers and R.L. Rogers; nephew, Jody Douglas; nephew, Roger Caldwell; and niece, Tonya Douglas.

Honoring his wishes, Mickey will be cremated. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
