Micki Klein Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 18, 2025.
Micki (Maxine) Klein (previously Goldberg) passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in The Colony, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on June 10, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, Micki carried a bold heart and quick wit with her throughout her life. For more than thirty years, she made her home in the South, primarily in Texas, where she continued to live life fully, fiercely, and entirely on her own terms.

Raised in the Jewish faith, Micki honored her heritage with her own joyful twist, most famously her annual "Hanukkah bush", a Christmas tree adorned in blue and white. Alongside her roots, she developed a lifelong spiritual curiosity that became a central part of her identity. She devoted herself to crystals, lithomancy, astrology, and tarot, sharing her intuitive gifts with others for decades. Through her spiritual work, she offered insight, comfort, and clarity, guided always by her strong intuition and open heart.

Micki was a true free spirit and a spitfire in every sense of the word. She spoke her mind, stood firmly in her beliefs, and proudly wore her purple hair and sparkly nails as a reflection of her vibrant personality. Her honesty, humor, and fearless authenticity were part of what made her so unforgettable.

She found joy in water aerobics, which kept her active and connected to friends in her community. She loved nothing more than a great meal, such as seafood or Chinese cuisine. Her dogs were her constant companions, bringing her endless comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.

Micki was the beloved daughter of Arthur and Henrietta Goldberg, whom she now joins in eternal rest, along with her cherished brother, Victor Goldberg.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mike Adair; her children, Russ Sharek, Corey Sharek, and Ariel Johannes; and her stepchildren, Marcus Adair and David, her grandchildren Ella Copeland, Audrey Sharek, Emilia Johannes and Grant Johannes. She also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were forever changed by her warmth, insight, and boundless spirit.

Cerebration of life will take place in The Colony Texas at The Colony Senior Center January 17th 2026 11am-1pm.

Every day I am still looking for a message from you. We communicated often for about 5 years when I was referred to you. All that has been written about you here is absolutely the truth. No one ever had to guess what you were thinking, you always made it quite clear. You ran around your house like a little energizer bunny and made me tired by watching you. I enjoyed every one of your stories and sure wish I could hear more. You surely had very wide variety kind of life. I miss you much my dear friend. Until we meet again I will hold you in my heart. Wishing God's comfort for your children and Mike.

Condolences to all who knew and loved her! We met in spiritual circles and continued an amazing friendship and camaraderie. We met up many times at seafood places and Greek once or twice. I loved her and will miss her insightful words on astrology. Continued blessings to her soul, see you later Micki. Rest easy Sis!

To Ariel, Cory and Russell. My deepest condolences to your families. I´ve known Micki since grammar school on Long Island where Russell and I met. This is when my Mom met her and they became best friends and we followed the family to New Jersey. I will always know her for her sense of humor and her caring ways. Paper bag forever!
