Mickie Jo Forsythe
January 24, 1942 – October 19, 2025
Mickie (Jo) Forsythe, age 83, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1942, in Everett, Washington, to the late Clifford and Valeta Forsythe.
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jo, whose bright and spirited nature touched everyone she met. She lived her life with courage, passion, and an unshakable sense of adventure that inspired all who knew her.
Jo had a deep love for life and a longing to see the world. She often dreamed of faraway places and new horizons, her imagination carrying her to distant lands and open skies. Even when her feet stayed close to home, her heart was always traveling-filled with wonder, curiosity, and the excitement of what could be.
She approached every day as an adventure, finding joy in simple moments and beauty in unexpected places. Her laughter was contagious, and her zest for life reminded us all to keep dreaming, keep hoping, and keep exploring in our own ways.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we take comfort in knowing her adventurous spirit has finally taken flight-free to travel beyond the limits of this world, forever exploring, forever at peace. Forever loved, forever remembered.
Mickie was the beloved mother of Amy (Michelle) Cooley and Clayton Winfrey, and a proud grandmother of Samantha and Travis (Caitlyn), Amy, Courtney, Trey, and Cyrus. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Dominic, Leo, and Travis II.
For her love of horses, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The Equus Foundation – equusfoundation.org.
