Miguel Aleman Obituary
Dr. Aleman was born on February 6, 1934 in Houston, Texas to Miguel and Barbara Aleman. He studied medicine in the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, in Monterrey, Mexico. He began his medical career in the U.S. by completing medical residencies in Baltimore, Maryland and internships at Washington Sanitarium and Hospital in Washington, DC and Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Aleman's interests while completing his residencies were in Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Family Medicine and Psychology. His medical practice began in Mexico and continued in the Rio Grande Valley in the communities surrounding McAllen, Texas in 1970. He proudly served the community for over 60 years delivering hundreds of newborns and providing medical care for his long standing patients. Dr. Aleman was a devoted physician and was known by his colleagues and patients for providing sound medical advice as well as humor and sincere care.
Dr. Aleman is survived by his wife, Irma A. Aleman, children Pastor Tere Esparza (Pastor Salvador Esparza), Dr. Mary Aleman, Dr. Bertha Aleman (Dr. Henry Tyminski), Omar Miguel Aleman (Frances Maria Parades Aleman); 5 grandchildren and their spouses; his sister, Maria Aleman and nephews, Dr. Americo Baca Aleman and Dr. Ruben Aleman along with beloved great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, their spouses, children, family members, colleagues in the medical profession, close friends and patients.
The family wishes to thank all the medical professionals who worked along him and others who cared for the well being and health of our father, Dr. Miguel Aleman.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

I had the pleasure of being employed with "Pena & Aleman" Medical Associates when these 2 doctors were in Edinburg. I enjoyed working with Dr Aleman and Highly respected him as an MD.
