Miguel De La Hoya Jr passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025

Miguel was born in El Paso, TX on December 4, 1944. He graduated from Jefferson High school in 1963 and proudly served in the United States Air Force.

After serving his country he continued his career with the Federal Government for the next 45 years working for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, Social Security Administration, International Water and Boundary Commission, and ending with the Department of State as a Consular Officer at the US Consulate in Juarez, Mexico a position he was most proud of before finally retiring in 2009.

Miguel is preceeded in death by sister Maria Del Refugio Duarte De La Hoya and brother Luis De La Hoya.

Miguel is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Elena De La Hoya. Sons; Gabriel De La Hoya(Annette), Fernando De La Hoya, and Roman De La Hoya; 3 grandchildren Mateo, Gabriel, and Alessandra; sisters Amelia Imai, Alicia Escudero and Irma Candelaria.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, January 17, 2025 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
