In Loving Memory of Miguel Ángel Gonzalez Jr. (MickeyBoy)

How can a mother say goodbye to her son, the son she prayed for? My baby boy, Mickey, was born on January 8, 2007, at 4:45 in the morning, after a difficult 36 weeks filled with heartache and pain. The doctors did everything they could to help me keep you, and I did. I had the privilege of having you for 18 wonderful years. In my eyes, you were perfect.

I want you to know how perfect you were to me. I was so proud of you, and your sisters, brothers, and friends were proud of you too. They loved you deeply, just as your father did. Everyone who met you could see how amazing you were. You embodied everything a young man should be: a gentleman with a gentle heart. You had a girlfriend who loved you beyond words—she would have surely become your wife at some point in life.

From the moment you landed in my arms to the moment you started crawling and going to school, I cherished every single moment with you, my messy boy. There will never be anyone quite like you again. Your mommy loves you until the end of time and beyond. You will forever walk with me as my angel.

You took my entire heart and captured the hearts of everyone who loved you: your sisters, your brother, your father, and your girlfriend. We will miss you until the end of time, my beautiful son, my beautiful angel, my Mickey boy. Now you are up with the angels, flying and dancing. Show them a few moves and dance for all of us. Wait for me until I get there, my Mickey boy. Your mommy loves you until the end of time and beyond. You will forever walk with me as my forever angel.

Mickey has left behind his mother, Nancy, and his father, Miguel; his sisters, Nashely, whom he called Sissy; Angelee; Roseley, Dulce Nayeli. Karla.. Valeria and two brothers, Kevin and Martín. He also leaves behind Amanda, his girlfriend who was going to be his wife; one nephew named Soul; one niece named Janelly; and grandmother, and a bunch of uncles and aunts cousins and many friends.

Mummy, will always love and carry you in my heart
