Thomas Gonzalez Jr., born June 17, 1938, in San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and strength that will be forever cherished by those who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his son, Tomas III (Heidi) and his daughters, Yolanda (Glen), Tammie, Rhonda, and Tanya. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, Puppy.
He is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Barbara, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership.
Thomas had a deep passion for baseball, classic cars, and oldies music—interests that brought joy to his days and connected him with countless friends and family members. He also had a lifelong love for animals, a passion that remained close to his heart.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Michelle, his dedicated caretaker, for her kindness, patience, and unwavering support in his final years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ASPCA, honoring Thomas’s compassion and devotion to animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 3, with details to follow.
Thomas will be deeply missed, but his warmth, laughter, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
