Miguel A. Olmeda

Miguel Angel Olmeda, known affectionately to many as "Guelito," was born on September 17, 1973, in Philadelphia, PA. A compassionate soul and a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing him, Miguel left an indelible imprint on the world around him. He was an embodiment of love, generosity, and ambition, and he utilized these remarkable traits to touch and change the lives of many.
Miguel was a pillar in the community, both in his personal and professional life. As a Youth Care Worker, he dedicated his life to the Refugee Home, demonstrating his generous and loving spirit. His passion for helping others was not limited to his working hours. Outside of work, he found joy in reading, riding his motorcycle, attending church, and more than anything, spending time with his family and friends. His involvement with the Knights of the Kingdom Motorcycle Ministry was a testament to his compassionate nature. Miguel's ambition led him to be ordained as a Chaplin in March of 2024, a role he embraced with dedication and humility.
Survived by his loving father, Cruz Olmeda; mother, Maria Alvarez-Santiago and her husband Edgardo; his siblings, David, Angela, Lizette, and Teresa Olmeda; his cherished daughters, Victoria, Jillian, and Cristina Olmeda; his six beloved grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Miguel's memory will live on in the hearts of many. His family was his world, and he will be remembered as a loving father, an adoring pop-pop, a caring son, a loyal brother and a beloved uncle.
Relatives and friends may greet Miguel's family for a Viewing on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. We invite all who knew and loved Miguel to join us in celebrating his life.
