February 21, 1957 — February 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Eidson, who departed this life on February 25, 2026, at the age of 69. A longtime resident of Cumming, Georgia, Michael passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, shortly after celebrating his birthday.
A Life of Character and Community
Born on February 21, 1957, Mike was a man who embodied the values of hard work, loyalty, and a deep connection to his North Georgia roots. He remained a steady presence for those who knew him—a man of his word who valued a handshake and a job well done.
Whether through his professional career as a Truck driver, Harley Davidson enthusiast and artist or his quiet contributions to his neighborhood, Mike was known for his practical wisdom and his ability to fix almost anything. He was a man who found contentment in the rhythms of daily life and the beauty of the open road.
Family and Connection
Mike’s greatest devotion was to his family. He was a pillar of strength, providing a foundation of love and guidance. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathey Eidson; his mother Gladys Gates; his children, Blythe Jones and Lennie Holland; who will forever remember his stories and his steady, supporting hand.
Mike’s absence will be deeply felt by a wide circle of friends, former colleagues, and neighbors who knew they could always count on him for a helping hand or a moment of genuine conversation.
A Lasting Legacy
Though he has left us, Mike’s influence remains in the lessons he taught: to be resilient in the face of challenges, to care for one's neighbors, and to find joy in a quiet afternoon or a shared meal. He lived his 69 years with a quiet dignity that will not be forgotten.
