Funeral Services for Mike King will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Pace, Bro. Eric Sharp and Miller Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. King, 56, of Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Mike was born in Neshoba County to Billy Ray and Mary Jane King. He attended Edinburg Schools where he met the love of his life, Linda. He was employed with H & P Drilling for 33 years and ended his career as a Rig Manager. Mike was known as hard working, simple man and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed mechanic work, farming, carrying Ms. Linda fishing and spending time with Cody. His greatest joy was his grandson, Chase. Mr. King was a longtime member of New Bethel Baptist Church and also helped on the construction of the new church. Mike never met a stranger and was loved so much and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Linda King; sons; Cody (Jessica) King and Chad (Jordan) King; grandchildren; Chase, Charley, Jake and Ellie King; sisters, Kristi (Kyley) Clark and Angel King; brother, Bryant King; several nieces, nephews, friends and their families.

Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Mary Jane King; step-mother, Fay King; sister, Billy Fay King.

Pallbearers: Cody King, Billy Chisolm, Nick Gomillion, Sam Yates, Haden Bozeman and Daniel Refre.

Honorary Pallbearers: Billy Adcock, Kenny Tubby, Charles Lewis and Ben Hearn.
