Robert Michael “Mike” Williams, 64, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.
Mike was born on May 23, 1961, in Perryton, Texas, to Bob Williams and Alta Williams. He grew up in the Panhandle and carried its values of hard work, integrity, and quiet strength throughout his life.
Mike built a long and respected career as a Certified Public Accountant, working for Rice Construction and their affiliated companies. Highly talented and deeply trusted, he contributed far beyond accounting. He assisted business owners, friends, and loved ones with everything from document preparation to legal insight, strategic planning, and the countless behind-the-scenes efforts that helped others succeed. His guidance was steady, thoughtful, and generously given.
Outside of work, Mike was known for his love of the outdoors. He found peace in hunting and fishing, often saying that the quiet of a field at sunrise or the stillness over water was where he felt closest to God. These moments in nature, shared with those he loved, were among his most treasured.
Mike also loved to travel and spend time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed good company, good stories, the kind of laughter that fills a room, and conversations about past adventures and those yet to come. To his sons, he was a source of unwavering support, wisdom, and pride.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Bob Williams, and his brother, Kevin Williams.
He is survived by his sons Chris & Tiffany Williams, Hunter & Lauren Williams, Brauch & Nicole Williams, Daniel & Jennifer Williams; his mother, Alta Williams; his sister, Beth & JW DeWitt; his brother, Jimmie & Alisa Williams; and his grandchildren: Colter, Carter, Easton, Camden, Lilah, Charlotte, Mia, Hattie, Emma, and Noa Rey. He is also survived by extended family and many friends who will miss his presence, humor, and steady guidance.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 24th at 3:00 PM at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made to Life & Liberty Outdoors, an organization that reflects Mike’s love for faith, fellowship, and the outdoors: 7829 Underwood Dr., Amarillo, TX 79121
