Mildred (Millie) H Allen Blodgett
Millie was born on July 30, 1936, to Hazel Fegert and Louis Allen in Oregon City, OR. Mom passed away on May 17, 2025, in Canby, OR. She grew up in Canby and Oregon City graduating from Oregon City High School in 1954. During high school she worked at Vincents Ice Cream Store where she met her future husband Kenneth (Red) Blodgett. They began dating and married December 27, 1953. They were married 65+ years before Dad passed away in December of 2019. She is survived by their three children: Shari (Blodgett) Horn (Bob), Bob Blodgett (Vickie Lausche) and Christi (Blodgett) Vernon (Steve), six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Millie is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Tiedtke and numerous nieces and nephews.
Millie worked part-time at Oregon City High School as a cook and then for many years for Kaiser Permanente. She and Dad spent their retirement years traveling the United State in their motorhome and spent their retirement years living in Prineville, OR.
Mom and Dad taught us right from wrong, respect, honesty and compassion. As a family we enjoyed camping, water skiing, traveling, fishing and 4-H. We were blessed to be raised in a loving Christian family.
Her service will be held May 29, 2025 at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Marquis Canby for their loving care of mom, grandma and great grandma.
