Beloved sister of the late Minnie Babino, Alfred Babino, Eugene Babino and James Babino, loving aunt of Anthony Babino, Marisa Moeller, Adriana Babino and Vincent Babino, and cherished great-aunt of Anthony, Steven, Tegan and Gianna.
For over three decades Mildred Babino was an indispensable support to the honorable Judge Lloyd MacMahon. Millie was secretary/administrative assistant/notary. She served with unwavering dedication and exceptional professionalism.
Millie's journey with Judge MacMahon began during his tenure as Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney, and subsequently as the U.S. Attorney from 1953 to 1955. As he transitioned to the esteemed law firm of Kramer, Marx, Greenlee, Backus & MacMahon from 1956 to 1958, Millie's expertise and commitment remained a constant by his side. Her steadfast support continued as Judge MacMahon ventured as a solo litigator between 1958 and 1959, and more prominently, during his distinguished tenure as a United States District Court Judge from 1959 to 1989.
Beyond her professional role, Millie earned the affection and respect of some 60 law clerks, and by an even greater number of MacMahon Fellows who would meet her each year at the annual dinners from 1990 until her last few years. Once retired from the United States Federal Court System, Millie went to work for Citibank. She was later asked to join the 1993 Rudolph Giuliani Mayoral Campaign. Millie was truly an early role model who paved the way for future career women.
