Mildred Pauline Dixon Bays, age 90, of Crossett, AR passed away on January 24, 2026 at The Woods of Monticello. She was born on March 20, 1935, in Atkins, AR to Henry and Dora Campbell Dixon. She was a graduate of Crossett High School in 1953 and a longtime member of Crossroads Baptist Church and Crossroads Good Neighbor Club. Mildred was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed many bird-watching trips with her siblings. She was the manager of Jr Food Mart in North Crossett and several other convenient stores in the community for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira "Sonny" Bays; two great great grandchildren, Evelyn and Everleigh Pamplin; two brothers; three sisters; daughter-in-law, Dixie Bays, and her loving dog, Oso.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her sons, Danny Bays (Geneva) and David Bays of Crossett, AR; grandchildren, Dana Sawyer (Bobby) of Monticello, AR, Dianne Bays of Crossett, AR, Anna Bays of Mississippi, Rhonda Curran (Keith) of Florida, Tina Carter (Donald), Darryl Nellams and Stacy Bulloch (Regan), all of Crossett, AR; great grandchildren, Seth Sawyer, Samantha Sawyer, Ashley Lochala, Alyssa Davis and Andrew Davis; three great grandchildren with a multitude of step grandchildren; three brothers, Loy Dixon (Sherry), Jimmy Dixon (Rita), all of Crossett, AR and Billy Joe Dixon (Sue) of Springdale, AR; five sisters, Pam Hipp of Crossett, AR, Alice Russell and Betty Kinnison of Jacksonville, AR, Mary Thomas of Hensley, AR and Laverne Massey of Little Rock, AR, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Carlock Cemetery on Friday, January 30, 2026 with Bro. Joey Meredith officiating and under the direction of Jones Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Freddy Hipp, Bryan Bays, Tyler Spurlock, Donald Carter, Shawn Hebert, Bobby Hogue, and Matthew Lochala.

Mildred's family will host a time of visitation following the service at the Dixon Family Home Place (Bunkhouse) located at 2526 Ashely 12 West, Crossett, AR 71635.
