Mildred Faye "Millie" Bobbitt, 92, formerly of Salem, passed away June 19, 2025 at La Bella of Clifton in Illinois. Born August 8, 1932 in Orange County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harry Williams and Grace Brocar Williams.
She attended Open Bible Center in Kankakee, Illinois and Calvary Bible Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Mildred is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Stipp (Kenny) and Colleen Siedentop (Duane); 1 sister: Opal Montgomery; 5 grandchildren: James Killian (Erin), Rebecca Mulligan, Jayme Rude, Jeremy Stipp (Jessica) and Isaac Siedentop; extended family John & Uraina Sterrett and Haley Sterrett and Charlie Sterrett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son: Robert Bobbitt and his wife Vada Bobbitt; sister Thelman Jackson; brother George Williams; and several other brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Michael Wilhite officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Winslow Cemetery.
